Demi-Fine Permanent & Custom Jewelry
For Those Who Refuse To Sacrifice Ease For Style
Avec Toi is French for "with you" — because that's exactly what our jewelry does. It goes with you. To the boardroom and the brunch, the gym and the gala, Monday morning and Friday night. No clasps to fumble with. No pieces left behind. Just effortless, everyday elegance that moves through life exactly the way you do.
Avec Toi Permanent Jewelry is a NJ based family business created for the love of ease filled living.
What is Permanent Jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is a fine chain that's custom-fitted to your wrist, ankle, neck, or finger and then welded closed — no clasp, no lobster claw, no jump ring. A small pulse welder fuses the ends of the chain together in seconds, leaving you with a seamless piece of jewelry that stays on until you decide to take it off.
How long does a session take?
Most sessions take between 10 and 20 minutes from start to finish, depending on the piece and placement. Choosing your chain is usually the longest part — and the most fun.
Does getting Permanent Jewelry hurt?
Not at all. The weld is a quick, precise pulse of energy that closes the chain — it happens in a fraction of a second and you won't feel a thing. We always use a protective guard to make sure your skin is never exposed to any heat. It's completely safe.
What's the difference between gold-filled and gold-plated?
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
How long does gold-filled jewelry last?
With proper care, gold-filled jewelry can last 10 to 30 years — sometimes a lifetime. Because the gold layer is so thick compared to gold-plated, it doesn't wear away easily even with daily exposure to water, sweat, and skin. The key factors that affect longevity are your skin's pH (some people's body chemistry is harder on metals than others), how often it comes into contact with harsh chemicals like bleach or chlorine, and how well you care for it. A gentle rinse after swimming and an occasional wipe-down with a soft cloth is really all it needs. For permanent jewelry that's meant to stay on, gold-filled is an excellent long-term choice.
How do I remove it if I need to?
A small pair of scissors does the trick — just snip the chain at the weld point. If you need it removed for a medical procedure (like an MRI), most facilities can do this for you. And if you'd like it re-welded afterward, just come back to us — we're happy to close it up again.
What metals do you offer?
We carry gold-filled & sterling silver. Gold-filled is our most popular option — it's durable, tarnish-resistant, and has a thick layer of real gold bonded to a base metal core.
Find us at our next pop-up or book a private session for your bridal party, girls' night, or corporate event.
It's water and sweat resistant, and meant to stay on. Wear it in the shower, at the gym, and everywhere in between.
